North Wales Trek Completed!

All six walkers limped and hobbled to the finishing line on 6th May.  A great achievement by all concerned, which wouldn't have been possible without a lot of support from Val and Paul at Claire House and all the generous donations that have been made to help get to the fundraising target.

They did it! The Claire Bear is there to greet them.

125 miles in 7 days

Starting 30th April 2007, Nigel Tilley, Mark Cameron, Keith Flashman, Steven Booth, Shaun Kearon and Shaun Harris are planning to walk 125 miles across the coast of North Wales to raise money for Claire House Children’s Hospice.

In 2004 Nigel, Mark and "The Flash", together with Peter Tilley and Trevor Gardner took on and beat the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, raising over £21,500 for Claire House with a further £20,000 donated later and despite a few scrapes and a hospital visit thoroughly enjoyed the experience.  So much so, that with a slightly revised team, they now aim to trek from Caernarfon to Heswall on the Wirral.

The plan this year is to follow the North Wales Path, Offa's Dyke Path and then local paths to Chester and then on to Heswall.  On the final day, the team will be joined by Michael Thomas.

Three years since their last walk and they are older, greyer and slightly thicker around the middles.  They'll need every penny to push them along on what will be a really hard week of walking and climbing!

So please sponsor them now!
